Due to Brexit, any UK passport holders will need to have all valid paperwork, including a carte de sejour, before applying. THE RIGHT APPLICANT SHOULD FULFIL THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA

– Have their accommodation already arranged and paid for in resort. Ben’s Bus does not provide accommodation, ski passes nor ski hire.

– Either have savings to live off or another job which allows you to work for Ben’s Bus every Saturday.

– Be available every Saturday for the entire ski season (from early December to early-mid April.

– Speak Good English and at least Basic French (good French for the Coordinators positions).

– Have excellent communication and customer service skills

– Have a friendly, approachable and flexible attitude to work and customers

– Experience of working on airport transfers would be beneficial but not essential. Full training will be given.

– You do not need your own transport or a driving licence for this position.

– Total reliability and impeccable time-keeping skills are vital for this position

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

You would not leave the resort but instead meet our buses and ensure all our guests are on the bus before it leaves the resort. Your job would include the following responsibilities:

– Liaise with our managers on Friday night as to what buses are leaving the resort the next day.

– Reliably and punctually meet our buses in resort and call the driver if you cannot find him.

– Check in all passengers and call any missing customers using our VOIP app on your phone.

– Make announcements over the tannoy concerning Health and Safety and the journey ahead so customers understand their journey.

– Liaise and take instructions and advice from your supervisor and/or manager

– When necessary and when the resort navettes allow it, to take the bus to the next stop to ensure those customers board the bus.

Nous avons besoin d’un coordinateur de transfert basé aux Deux Alpes. Vous n’aurez pas à vous rendre aux aéroports et vous vous contenterez d’assurer le départ de nos bus depuis la station.

We need a transfer coordinator to be based in any town on the valley floor near Moutiers or Meribel. You would be on a French part-time, seasonal contract and the wages will be determined depending on experience.

GRENOBLE AIRPORT MANAGER

 

This position would suit somebody living in Grenoble or Voiron, or a town close to Grenoble Airport.

Fluent written and spoken French and English are essential for this position, as well as excellent communication skills, an organised approach to work, good working knowledge of basic IT systems (such as Outlook, Excel etc) and great customer service skills.

The ideal candidate would be able to remain calm and polite in stressful situations. Liaising between customers, other reps, drivers and managers is an integral part of the job. An ability to problem solve and mentally juggle logistical challenges due to general transport delays and issues is a key part of this position. Previous experience in the transfer / transport industry is preferable but not essential. Full training will be given.

We will need you to be available to work from 1st November until 15th April.

You would be on a French Part-Time, seasonal contract (a ‘CDD Saisonnier a Temps Plein’), working an average 30 hours a week, earning a minimum €17 / hour.

The hours of work are as follows:

Monday = 5 hours of Admin (working from home i.e. Teletravaille)

Friday = 7 hours of Admin (working from home i.e. Teletravaille)

Saturday = 11 hours at Grenoble Airport, 08:00 – 19:00 (7th December – 12th April)

Sunday = 4 hours, 09:00 – 13:00 (8th December – 4th April) – for the right candidate, we could allow you to manage this remotely if a Rep can manage the airport alone.

 

The job role includes:

  • Monitoring and answering emails received from customers and colleagues
  • Checking over the transfer lists on Fridays and liaising with our bus company partners in advance of the transfer weekend
  • Staff Planning for the transfer week-end
  • Managing your ‘Meet & Greet’ Reps at Grenoble Airport, answering any questions from customers and coordinating bus departures from Grenoble Airport. Updating and reporting of accurate transfer lists
  • Liaising with our coach company partners and drivers on transfer day
  • Monitoring and managing our Lost Property Reporting System and assisting in repatriation of lost items. This may include weekly visits to our bus company partners in Voiron and trips to the post office
  • Ensuring accurate staff timesheets are filled in and sent to our General Manager on a weekly basis

 

A driving license and your own car is required for this role in order to visit our bus company partners in Voiron from time to time

The role requires you to work at the airport for around 10 hours each Saturday, from early Dec to late March (with the possibility to continue working until mid-April).

You would most likely be on a Swiss employment contract, being paid the minimum wage in Switzerland.

  • Taking instructions from our Managers
  • Communicating with drivers.
  • Greeting all flights into Geneva Airport, directing customers to their bus and answering any questions they may have.
  • Help to coordinate bus departures from the airport

We are looking for 1 person to man our desk at Geneva Airport. This position would suit either somebody living in or around the Annecy area (so our buses can pick you up on the way to the airport) or self employed people living in Geneva. We welcome organised and reliable students.

Excellent spoken and written French and English are essential for this position, as well as excellent communication skills, an organised approach to work, reliability and excellent customer service skills. Good IT skills are also required.

The role requires you to work at the airport for around 10 hours each Saturday, from Dec until April and a few hours on Sundays.

The pay will depend on your experience and language skills.

The job role includes:

  • Liaising with other Ben’s Bus Managers and Staff
  • Taking instructions from our Manager
  • Replying to emails
  • Taking calls from customers and working with the Manager on solutions for late arriving passengers
  • Communicating with drivers.
  • Helping to greet flights into Geneva Airport when required.
  • Helping to coordinate bus departures from the airport when required.

The ideal candidate would be able to remain calm and polite in stressful situations. Liaising between customers, other reps, drivers and managers is an integral part of the job. Previous experience in the transfer / transport industry is preferable but not essential. Full training will be given.

No driving license is required for this role.
