Transfer Time from Geneva Airport to Meribel

The transfer time from Geneva Airport to Meribel is about 2 hours 45 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we know the travel conditions may be bad. The distance from Geneva Airport to Meribel is 134km. Our vehicles usually take the most direct route via the A41 motorway and the N90 national road through Annecy and Ugine before climbing the D90 mountain road to Meribel.

Meribel Bus Stops

Our service stops at Meribel (1500m) and at the much smaller Meribel Village (1400m). These are 2 different resorts. They are a short distance from each other but it is important that you select the correct resort when you book with us. Your accommodation provider can clarify which resort you are staying in. We also stop at Mottaret, Les Allues, Brides Les Bains.

Meribel has most of the accommodation and Meribel Village only has a few chalets and a couple of ‘Residence’ centres. You can click on the map to the left to see a larger version.

We also link to the Tourist Office interactive map and information about the free shuttle buses. From both our stops, you can take the free resort shuttles to almost anywhere in the resort.

Please read this entire section for full advice on your options. You can book a Geneva Airport to Meribel shared transfer on:SATURDAYS: From the 13th Dec 2025 – 4th April 2026 (we have services to Moutiers from the 6th Dec – 18th April)

SUNDAYS: From the 14th Dec 2025 – 5th April 2026

WEEKDAYS: We don’t run buses to Meribel on any weekday.

Useful Tips:

– You could book a Single with us and then another Single with another company or use public transport.

– Consider changing your flight so you can take our service.

-Consider staying in a hotel overnight at Geneva Airport.

 

Please Note The Following Exceptions:

– On the 13th and 14th December we only have buses from Geneva Airport

– On the 4th & 5th April we only have buses to Geneva Airport (although we still have service to Moutiers on these dates)

– Try booking to / from Moutiers, which is the town on the valley floor. We may have a bus for you and you could then book a Single to / from Meribel and then make another Single booking to / from Moutiers.

– You could change your flight to one that suits our bus times

– If you are arriving on a Friday / Saturday evening, you could stay in a hotel at Geneva Airport and then take our morning bus the next day. Just select “Hotel” for your Airline and Airport and the first flight arrival time listed to see our morning bus times.

– Remember, you could book a Single with us and another Single with another company and / or use public transport.

Transfer TimeThe transfer between Geneva Airport & Meribel usually takes between 2 hours 50 mins & 3 hours 20mins, covering a distance of 135km. These times are approximations as they depend on the road conditions. We allow more time on certain dates, such as the school holidays & at certain times of the day when we know the traffic may be bad. With years of experience, we know when we need to allow more time for the journey.
