We use the term “Infant Seat” for the cradle-like seats that infants are strapped into and are securely fastened to a 3-point seat belt.

We use the term “Booster Seat” for the backless cushions that raise a child’s body to a height suitable for using 3-point seatbelt, so that the shoulder strap does not run across the child’s neck.

CHILDREN AGED UNDER 4 YEARS OLD

Children under the age of 4 cannot travel on our services. Some of the vehicles we use have 2-point lap belts which are not compatible with most Infant Seats. We do not agree to carry any child in an Infant Seat. Under Swiss law it is forbidden to transport infants on the parents lap.

CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 4-11 YEARS OLD

Children aged between 4 years old and 11 years old can travel on our services, provided they can safely occupy a seat on their own.

  • If, when at home, they usually use an Infant Seat then we are sorry but we cannot transport them.
  • If, when at home, they usually use a Booster Seat, then we can transport them but you must bring the Booster Seat with you as we are unable to provide them. If you fail to bring one, we may deny you boarding and no refund will be given.

Children benefit from a 10% discount. Just select the number of children from our dropdown bar when you book with us.

We use the term “Infant Seat” for the cradle-like seats that infants are strapped into. They are usually secured using a 3-point seat belt.

We use the term “Booster Seat” for the backless cushions that raise a child’s body to a height suitable for using 3-point seat belts, so that the shoulder strap does not run across the child’s neck.

Nearly all the vehicles we use have 3-point seat belts. However, we cannot guarantee this and they may only have 2-point lap belts, that only go across the waist and are unsuitable for Infant Seats.

CHILDREN AGED 2- 11 YEARS OLD

Children of this age must occupy a seat. If your child uses a Booster Seat at home, you need to bring this with you as we cannot provide them.

For all our routes out of Grenoble and Lyon Airports we give children under 12 at the time of travel a 10% discount. Just select a child when you book with us and the discount will be applied automatically. Ben’s Bus reserves the right to check the age of any passengers from their passport before boarding our services.

INFANTS UNDER 2 YEARS OLD

Infants under 2 years old may legally sit on the parents knee and so can travel for free. However, you should check the expected transfer time of your journey (by selecting your resort from our Ski Resorts page) to ensure you and your infant will be comfortable. For safety reasons, you will not be able to sit on the front 4 seats, the middle seat at the back or the seats in front of the emergency exits. If you wish to carry your infant on your knee, you must email ku.oc.subsneb@ofni with the following information as we need an accurate list of all passengers:

– Your booking reference number

– The infants’ name and age

Regrettably we cannot provide Infant Seats and we cannot allow you to bring your own. This is because we cannot guarantee that they will fit securely into our seats. If you wish for your infant to travel in an Infant Seat, we would recommend booking a hire car or private transfer.
